Basketball season is back and better than ever! The varsity basketball teams had great home openers, with the boys playing St. Vincent De Paul’s Guardians and the girls playing De La Salle. Unfortunately, new head coach Tavis Turner could not begin his coaching career at HBHA with a win, as the boys had a hard-fought loss. The boys started the game slowly, but as the game continued, they showed that they can be an outstanding team this year. Next Monday, we hope to see the boys get their first win against Cristo Rey.
The Rams Girls Varsity team picked up where they left off last year as they crushed the De La Salle Lions by beating them by 48 points. Their defense was strong and aggressive, which led to many fast-break points. If they continue this trend, they could make a strong run in the G-PAC this year.
